The ViewSonic XG2431 is good for most uses. It's impressive for gaming because it has a high 240Hz refresh rate, VRR support, a quick response time, and low input lag for a smooth and responsive gaming experience. It's also good for office use because it has great ergonomics, wide viewing angles, and good peak brightness if you need to use it in a well-lit room. However, it's just decent for content creators, and it's not the best for watching multimedia content because the 24 inch screen and 1080p resolution don't deliver an immersive experience, and blacks look gray in the dark. It's also mediocre for HDR because it can't display a wide color gamut or make highlights pop.

After testing out the ViewSonic XG2431, we found out that it’s not just great on paper, it’s an excellent gaming display overall. Thanks to its impressive performance for gaming, as well as its vibrant output for movie/series marathons, you won’t be disappointed with this new ViewSonic monitor. Plus, its design, while a bit plain, is functional and flexible, meaning it’s an easy monitor to integrate or add on to your existing setup.

The XG2431 is a very good gaming screen in many areas which is really its target usage. It doesn’t offer everything, but what it does offer, it makes a good job of it. The 1080p resolution would be considered pretty low nowadays in the monitor market, but if you’re looking for a smaller sized screen in this kind of range it’s really the only sensible option anyway, you don’t need higher.
